CPD said the confrontation happened after the employee asked the man to move his recreational vehicle (RV) from the store’s private parking lot. Police did not disclose the time and location of the incident.
Concord police said it didn’t take long for officers to find the suspected RV in an industrial part of the city.
“Due to the seriousness of the crime, we deployed our resources to ensure a safe resolution — including our armored vehicle, drones, and de-escalation tactics,” said police in a social media post.
CPD said the suspect eventually surrendered, and a search of the vehicle upturned the alleged firearm. The man was arrested and faces several charges.
