ROAD HAZARD: Unified Police warn of homemade tire-deflation devices on White City roads
WHITE CITY, Utah (ABC4) — Police are advising residents in White City to drive with caution after devices made to puncture and deflate tires were located in the area.

According to a post from the Unified Police Department, throughout this week, they have received multiple reports of tire damage in the White City area. Police located homemade tire-deflation devices on neighborhood roads.

The devices are made using cardboard, black tape, nails and screws, police say. These tire-deflation devices have been recovered from multiple streets in the small city, mainly along Violet Drive and nearby streets.

Several residents’ vehicles have been damaged by these devices, and police are urging residents and those who travel through the area to take caution.

“The Unified Police Department asks residents to remain alert while driving, report any suspicious objects seen on the road, and check home surveillance footage for possible suspect activity in the area,” the police department states on social media.

Anyone with information should contact the Unified Police Department at 801-840-4000 to report suspicious activity or 911 if there is an emergency.
