Monticello man faces 64 charges in ongoing child exploitation investigation
Monticello man faces 64 charges in ongoing child exploitation investigation
SOMERSET, Ky. (FOX 56) — A 25-year-old in Pulaski County has been charged as part of an ongoing electronic crime investigation.

According to a Kentucky State Police news release, around 2:48 p.m. on May 9, 2025, Jorge Martin Vasquez Jr., of Monticello, was interviewed and arrested after an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) operation.

The investigation started after authorities allegedly discovered Vasquez sending sexually explicit videos of juveniles through a social media account.

On Friday, police released a news release saying a juvenile victim was identified and interviewed.

During the interview, Vasquez was accused of rape.

Vasquez was charged with:

  • 20 counts of distributing matter portraying a minor over the age of 12 in a sexual performance
  • 20 counts of possessing matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance
  • 20 counts of promoting a minor under the age of 16 in a sexual performance
  • One count of use of a minor under 16 in a sexual performance
  • One count of promoting the use of a minor by electronic means
  • One count of rape in the 3rd degree
  • One count of distributing matter portraying a minor over the age of 12 in a sexual performance
