MH School board to vote on plan for ‘Big Top’

The Mountain Home Public School Board will meet in regular session Thursday evening to vote on a plan to submit to the state on a future design for the ‘Big Top’ portion of the High School.

The board has been working with Modus Studio Architecture and Prototyping of Fayetteville for the last six months for a high school rebuild project. Following a recent special meeting the board had come to a conclusion on which option they liked the best.

All public school building projects must be reviewed and approved by the Arkansas Department of Education-Division of Public School Academic Facilities and Transportation. If the board submits the project before the deadline for approval, time will be available for meetings and reconfiguration of the plan if necessary.

Other items on the agenda include requests to approve:
– yearly copy paper and plastic bids.
– food service bids for 2025-26.
– 2024-26 contract disclosures.
– purchases over $20K.
– behavioral support contract.
– policy Section 7 update.

The meeting will begin at 6 in the Adminstration Building Board Room located at 2465 Rodeo Drive in Mountain Home.
