Mecklenburg County woman wins $431K jackpot

PINEVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Jacqueline Neely of Pineville took a chance on a $1 Cash 5 ticket and won a $431,069 jackpot. 

Neely bought her lucky Quick Pick ticket from B & M Food Service on Lancaster Highway in Pineville. Her ticket matched all five numbers in the May 5 drawing to win the jackpot. The odds of matching all five balls are 1 in 962,598.

She claimed her prize at lottery headquarters Friday and, after required federal and state tax withholdings, took home $309,292.
