ISP: Motorcyclist dead after Carroll County crash
CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. — A motorcyclist was pronounced dead after a Thursday evening crash in Carroll County.

According to officials with the Indiana State Police, troopers, along with deputies form the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fatal crash on State Road 75 near County Road 485 South just after 6 p.m. on Thursday.

A preliminary investigation found that a motorcycle was reportedly traveling northbound on State Road 75 when a GMC Sierra was traveling southbound. ISP officials said that for “an unknown reason” the motorcycle crossed the center line and struck the GMC head-on.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by the Carroll County Coroner. The identity of the motorcyclist is expected to be released by the Carroll County Coroner at a later time. Officials said the driver of the GMC was uninjured in the crash.

Officials said that this remains an active and ongoing investigation by the Indiana State Police.
