College football surges in Texas
DALLAS (KDAF) — College football interest in Texas has surged by 111.26% over the past year, making it one of the fastest-growing sports in the state.

Searches for college football in Texas increased from 335,430 per month in the first quarter of 2024 to 708,640 per month in the first quarter of 2025, according to a study by Esport Stars.

The study by Esport Stars analyzed Google search data to determine the fastest-growing sports across the United States. College football emerged as the fastest-growing sport in 46 out of 50 states.

Texas, known for its rich college football culture and home to NCAA Division One teams like the Texas Longhorns, showed one of the largest spikes in search interest nationwide.

The increase in search interest reflects a broader trend across seven states where college football searches grew by more than 100%.
