On Friday, July 18th, the Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities (SLCPU) will be closing Bonneville Boulevard between approximately 5am to 4pm. The road will be closed in order to repair a water leak and damaged roadway.
According to officials, the trail will remain open for pedestrians, but there will be no vehicle access.
This leak is one of many that have occurred across Utah this week. Previous water line leaks have damaged roads in American Fork and Centerville and businesses and vehicles in Provo. Additionally, a water line break caused a rockslide in Holladay, that damaged multiple homes.
Residents are advised to travel alternate routes and avoid Bonneville Boulevard tomorrow.
