PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — A Fort Washington woman is now facing murder charges after a man she is accused of shooting last month passed away from his injuries, authorities in Prince George’s County detailed on Thursday.

The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) said 18-year-old Darlyn Florian-Granados passed away from his injuries on July 15, just over one month after being shot.

PGPD said that at around 3:20 a.m. on June 13, officers were called to the 5400 block of Broadwater Street. Detectives learned Florian-Granados and 20-year-old Keyri Escalante were at a party in the area when the shooting happened.

Florian-Granados was taken to the hospital, where he died this past weekend.

Initially, Escalante — the suspect — was charged with attempted murder. Following the 18-year-old’s death, however, she is now facing first- and second-degree murder charges.

PGPD is asking anyone with information to contact detectives at (301) 516-2512.
