FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Are you a sports fan? Buy a jersey with your favorite player’s signature and give back to a Fresno teenager battling cancer.
Panda-Monium International, which sells sports memorabilia, is holding an auction to help aid in Sunnyside High School student Gabriel Garcia’s fight with Osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer.
The auction offers a wide range of memorabilia, ranging from athlete-signed jerseys from teams like the Denver Broncos, Dallas Cowboys, and San Francisco 49ers to posters, mini helmets, and signed basketballs.
The community of Fresno and the surrounding areas came together in June to help fund Gabriel’s journey, ultimately raising more than $8,700. However, Gabriel’s specific treatment continues to remain costly, as other forms of treatment are not effective.
The family-owned business will run the auction from July 19 to Aug. 9 at 11:59 p.m. Even those not within the Fresno area can participate, as they have the option to have their items shipped to them.
Anyone who would like to see what’s up for auction or get more information can click here. Others who would simply like to donate can do so through Gabriel’s GoFundMe.
