According to the Portland Police Bureau, officers are searching for a man who ran from them and into the Parkrose Neighborhood in the 4800 block of Northeast 100th Avenue.
Sergeant Kevin Allen, a spokesperson with PPB, told KOIN 6 News that officers are advising local residents to remain inside while the search is underway.
“There is a pretty large perimeter, which is why it’s taking a lot of officers. Out of an abundance of caution, the sergeant has requested area residents stay inside and keep doors locked. People will hear officers using a PA to call out the suspect. They will be searching with K9s and drones (unless he surrenders),” Allen said.
Further details were not made immediately available. KOIN 6 News crews are on the scene and are working to find out more information.
This is a developing story.
