Recall issued for Dubai chocolate spread over possible salmonella contamination

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is warning people not to consume a brand of Dubai chocolate spread after laboratory testing revealed the presence of salmonella.

Consumers are asked to watch out for 9.7-ounce jars of Emek brand pistachio cacao cream with kadayif. The recalled product is labeled with Batch No. 250401 and a best before date of April 1, 2027.

The spread was mainly sold at World Market locations across the country, and World Market issued a recall on Monday.

No illnesses have been reported so far, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
