Man in Redwood County dies after being trapped in grain bin

A man died in Redwood County early Wednesday morning after being trapped in a grain bin.

At around 9:33 a.m., the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office responded to a man who was trapped in a grain bin on the 13000 block of MN-19.

Almost two hours later, the man was pronounced dead on scene, according to the sheriff’s office. His name will be released at a later time.

The Milroy Fire Department, Milroy First Responders, Wabasso Ambulance, Centra Care Ambulance, Wabasso Fire Department, Redwood Falls Fire Department, Vesta Fire Department, Tracy Fire Department, Marshall Fire Department, Minnesota State Patrol and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources also assisted in the incident.
