Hawk rescued after getting stuck in chimney in Stafford County

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Stafford County deputies rescued a hawk who got stuck in a chimney, officials announced Wednesday.

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) said that earlier in the week, a resident along Andrew Chapel Road said they started hearing “strange noises.” They said it was coming from inside their chimney.

A deputy squeezed her arm past the flue of the chimney and was able to rescue the hawk.

SCSO said the hawk was not hurt and was released back into the wild.
