Steve Woolcock was arraigned in a Clackamas court on Thursday on charges that include one count each of first- and second-degree sex abuse and three counts of third-degree sex abuse.
The charges are the culmination of an investigation carried out by the Oregon State Police, which began in February, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said.
Woolcock, a civil deputy, was immediately placed on paid administrative leave when the investigation began. However, since the felony charges were formally filed against him, he is now on unpaid leave, the sheriff’s office said.
No further details about the case were made immediately available.
Woolcock is being held in the Clackamas County Jail. His bail was set to $250,000.
