Winnebago County Clerk Lori Gummow seeks re-election in 2026
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — On Wednesday, Winnebago County Clerk Lori Gummow announced she would seek re-election to the position in 2026.

Gummow has served as Clerk since 2018.

“During my time as Clerk, State and Federal laws have been enacted regarding voting and elections and our office has made sure that those laws are followed. We have upgraded our Vote by Mail operations and we have staffed and supplied remote early voting locations that are more accessible,” Gummow said in a statement.

Gummow is seeking the Republican nomination, with petitions to be circulated starting August 5th, 2025.

The General Election takes place on November 3rd, 2026.
