Traffic stop leads to arrest of known drug dealer in Lincoln County
LINCOLNTON, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit conducted a surveillance operation that led to the traffic stop of a known drug dealer.

During the traffic stop, investigators were able to seize 36 grams of methamphetamine, fentanyl, crack cocaine, oxycodone and over $500 in cash.

Terry Lee McConneaughey, of Lincolnton, was arrested under a no bond hold because of pending drug charges that the Lincoln County Narcotics Unit had issued earlier this year. 

McConneaughey was charged with the following:

  • Trafficking Methamphetamine by Possession
  • Trafficking Methamphetamine by Transport
  • PWISD Fentanyl
  • PWISD Crack Cocaine
  • PWISD Oxycodone
  • Maintain a Dwelling

He was taken to court Wednesday and received a $1 million bond.
