The sheriff’s office said in a post on social media that remains found on Barnacre Road in May were tested at the State Medical Examiner’s office and are consistent with matching the DNA to Larry Robinson Jr, 47.
They said his family has been contacted and made aware of these findings.
PCSO says they will continue to work with agencies involved to determine the events surrounding the death of Robinson, Jr.
Robinson was last seen on January 22.
In February, a search was conducted on Barnacre Road east of the current location, but nothing was found.
“He and I, we’ve always been close,” said his mother, Rosetta Robinson, to WREG in June. “He’s a momma’s boy. He would always come by to check on me.”
Anyone with any information can contact Sheriff Phelps or an Investigator with the Panola County Sheriff’s Office at 662-563-6230 or the Batesville Police Department 662-563-5653.
