COVINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A large police presence has formed around St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Covington.
Around 2:30 a.m., the police were called by Kenton County dispatchers regarding reports that a person was on site with a gun.
Officials said the hospital is diverting incoming patients and ambulances to surrounding hospitals, and the emergency room has been blocked off for multiple hours. The police began to leave shortly after 6 a.m.
The investigation is ongoing.
