Mountain Home woman arrested after going to estranged husband’s house and assaulting woman

A Mountain Home woman has been arrested after going to her estranged husband’s home and assaulting a woman there. Twenty-nine-year-old Haley Lynn Davis was arrested following a short search Monday morning. Another man who was already at the residence, 36-year-old Andrew Robert Harkreader, was also arrested for taking part in the fracas.

According to information from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the residence on River Road in Norfork shortly before 3:00 Monday morning for a fight in progress. When they arrived, they talked to the two victims. The man said he and Harkreader were working on a vehicle when Davis showed up and was upset because a female was staying at the residence. Davis grabbed a tire iron and began swinging it at her estranged husband.

The two victims went into the house and locked the door, but Davis kicked the door in and entered the house. The female went to the back of the residence and locked herself in a bathroom. The male victim was holding Davis back and that’s when Harkreader entered the house and restrained the male victim.

Davis then forced her way into the bathroom and began punching the female victim in the head and pulling her hair.

Eventually, the two victims were able to get Davis and Harkreader out of the house and secure the door again.

The male victim reported hearing Harkreader loading a gun and a short time later, he heard a large bang outside that sounded like a gunshot.

Deputies searched the area for Davis and Harkreader, but neither could be located. The canine tracking team from the Arkansas Division of Corrections – North Central Unit was called to the scene to assist in locating the suspects. Harkreader was found a short distance away and taken into custody.

Deputies later were told that Davis had been picked up by a motorist and taken to a residence on Winterberry Drive in Salesville. Her general location was confirmed by pinging her cell phone. Deputies responded to the area, found Davis near Boggs Drive, and took her into custody at approximately 8:46 a.m.

Davis is facing felony counts of residential burglary and aggravated assault along with a misdemeanor count of third degree battery. She is free on a bond of $25,000.

Harkreader is facing a misdemeanor count of third degree battery. His bond is set at $500.
