SIMPSON COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — Kentucky Fish and Wildlife made a unique rescue after learning of a fawn trapped in a sinkhole.
According to a Tuesday, July 15, fish and wildlife Facebook post, a Simpson County farmer called for help after finding the sinkhole on their property. To their surprise, a baby deer was stuck at the bottom.

Wardens Trevor Lowe and Trenton Mofield responded and were able to retrieve the unharmed fawn.
The baby was reportedly released in a nearby wooded area.
