BROWNWOOD, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A new head strength and conditioning coach has been hired at Howard Payne University (HPU).

Aaron Siekmann will take on this new role after serving as the Director of Human Performance at Concordia University Wisconsin for the past four years.

Prior to Siekmann’s tenure as Director of Human Performance at Concordia Wisconsin, he oversaw the strength and conditioning programs for all 32 athletic teams, managed their staff, coordinated with sports coaches, and led facility operations.

The head football coach at HPU shared his thoughts on the recent hiring of a new staff member.

“Aaron Siekmann’s background training student-athletes in multiple sports and experience as a Director of Strength and Conditioning at two universities prior to HPU makes a great fit for Yellow Jacket athletics,” said Head Coach Gipson.

Siekmann was also at Black Hills State University, developing and implementing comprehensive training programs for 10 NCAA Division II teams. He has also gained experience through a virtual performance internship with Florida Atlantic University.

Prior to coaching, Siekmann graduated from Concordia Wisconsin and played for a semi-professional team during the 2011 and 2012 seasons.
