Upon arrival, deputies secured the scene, and safely removed a female victim from the residence, authorities said.
After a three hour stand-off, deputies said they arrested and charged Dustin Walker, 34, of New Iberia for second degree battery and two counts of failure to appear. Deputies said additional charges are expected.
Walker is currently being held at the Iberia Parish Jail on a $65,000 bond.
