Chad Burningham, 42, was hiking in Tooele County. He made camp near the Jacob City Trailhead in Stockton, and he has not been seen since he left his campground.
According to the Tooele County Sheriff’s Department, Burningham was last seen at 8 a.m. on Monday July 14 and was reported missing around 12:30 p.m. that day.
Multiple resources are being used to try to locate him, including a search and rescue team, the Department of Public Safety helicopter, and deputies from the Sheriff’s Department.
Search efforts were resumed Tuesday morning with the help of tracking dogs, and additional efforts will resume once more on Wednesday morning.
