ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The Brake family has released funeral arrangements for Joni Kay Brake and Robert Leroy Brake Sr., the Abilene couple who tragically lost their lives in the Central Texas flood.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, at Beltway Park Church, located at 4009 Beltway South. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
“We welcome flowers sent in love and are equally grateful to those who choose to honor their legacy through a foundation being created in their name—dedicated to spreading kindness and compassion, just as they did in life,” the family shared.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 4:00 p.m. at the 201 Mesquite Event Center.
