Former Rep. Jeff Greer’s passing was announced on July 16, according to Kentucky House Democrats.
Greer served the 27th House District from 2007 to 2018, according to state officials. He was chair of the House Banking and Insurance Committee, playing a major role in raising the high school dropout age to 18.
Kentucky House Democrats said the legacy he left—both at home and at the Capitol—would always endure.
The Meade County Democratic Party wrote that Greer stood up for working families, advocated for public education, and made it his mission to help people, not take advantage of them.
