Disneyland honors Lillian Disney with commemorative window on Main Street U.S.A.

Ahead of its 70^th anniversary, Disneyland unveiled a new decorative window on Main Street, U.S.A. in honor of Lillian Disney, recognizing her contributions to “The Happiest Place on Earth.”

The tribute was revealed during a private ceremony on July 13, which also marked the 100th wedding anniversary of Walt and Lillian Disney. The window was unveiled on the Disney Showcase gift shop building.

The commemorative window represents one of the highest honors granted by The Walt Disney Company. The tradition, which began under Walt Disney himself, celebrates individuals who have made a significant impact on the company and its theme parks.

Lillian Disney, who married Walt in 1925, played a pivotal role in supporting the vision of Disneyland and was present at its opening in 1955.

Guests can also see tributes to Lillian Disney throughout Disneyland, including the Lilly Belle parlor car on the Disneyland Railroad and a petrified tree displayed along the Rivers of America in Frontierland.
