The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) said just before 5:15 p.m. on July 13, deputies were called to the Shell at 626 Warrenton Rd. for a brandishing offense.
There, they learned a man entered the store and placed a honey packet in his pocket. Shortly after, SCSO says he started arguing with the clerk.
He then pulled out a black handgun from his waistband and told customers and other witnesses that everyone was “lucky” he was there with his granddaughter or he would “kill everybody.”
The man left the store with two others and a young girl in an SUV.
SCSO described the suspect as a man who was wearing a blue hat, white shirt and shorts, with tattoos on both arms. Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident is encouraged to contact authorities at (540) 658-4450.
