CAPTURED: Benjamin Hanil Song arrested for Alvarado ICE facility attack

DALLAS, Texas – Benjamin Hanil Song, was arrested Tuesday, July 15, wanted by the FBI for attempted murder of law enforcement officers at the Prairieland Detention Center in Texas on July 4.

Song is the 14th arrest in the case.

Song and multiple other subjects allegedly shot fireworks toward the detention center to lure officers out of the facility, and then targeted the officers in a shooting.

EverythingLubbock.com previously reported the Blue Alert issued for Benjamin Song for Alvarado ICE facility attack on July 9.

FBI Dallas field police released the following statement below:

“FBI Dallas safely apprehended Benjamin Song this afternoon in Dallas. Thank you to all of our law enforcement partners for aiding us in this search and apprehension. His arrest is the result of our determination to protect not only the community, but also our law enforcement partners that were the targets of a coordinated attack.”
