WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Black Restaurant Weeks is back for its sixth year in the D.C. area, shining a spotlight on Black-owned restaurants, food trucks and more across D.C., Maryland and Virginia.

From July 13 through July 27, dozens of eateries from Baltimore to Fairfax are inviting patrons to stop by for a bite.

Some can’t-miss spots include Elmina in D.C., a contemporary Ghanaian restaurant by celebrated chef and restaurateur Eric Adjepong, offering a bold dining experience.

If you’re looking for something a little more low-key, stop by one of Wiseguy Pizza’s several locations around Northern Virginia and D.C.

In the mood for brunch? Milk & Honey Café is a New Orleans-themed spot, featuring classics like shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles and French toast.

“Tell your friends, make a reservation, and head to one of DC’s world-class restaurants for great food, better company, and a celebration of our local entrepreneurs,” D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said in a social media post.
