Christopher Palmer, 19, of Jonesville, La., was charged on Nov. 5, 2024, and arrested on March 7
Palmer has pleaded not guilty to those charges.
Court documents say that in September 2024, Palmer traveled from Jonesville, La., to Paris, Ark., to meet with a teenager he had spoken with over Snapchat.
Court proceedings have been delayed six times since the original trial date of Jan. 24, as Palmer’s counsel called for additional time to prepare.
Palmer’s trial is set to begin on July 25 at the Logan County Courthouse in Paris.
He is being held in the Logan County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond.
