Scholarship honors Juanita Epps’ dedication to BPCC Foundation

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) and the BPCC Foundation have announced the creation of a new endowed scholarship for students pursuing accounting and finance.

The Juanita Epps Endowed Scholarship in Accounting & Finance was established in honor of Mrs. Epps’ decades of service to the college.

Mrs. Epps began her career at BPCC as Internal Auditor of the BPCC Foundation in 1997. During her tenure at the school, she strengthened financial operations as the Accounting Specialist and Bookkeeper, helping grow the Foundation’s assets to more than $8.5 million. She also contributed to the school’s transparency and accountability as the Compliance Auditor.

Mrs. Epps was celebrated with a special reception on the BPCC campus. The scholarship will be awarded annually to qualifying students to support those enrolled in accounting or finance programs.
