NC firefighter had ‘serious medical emergency’ after man set building on fire, warrant shows

MEBANE, N.C. (WGHP) — A Graham man was arrested Monday after a firefighter was injured in a building fire last week, a Mebane Police Department warrant shows.

Jacari Bunting, 19, is charged with burning an occupied commercial structure and setting fire to a commercial structure that caused injury to a firefighter on July 11, according to the warrant.

The fire on Corporate Park caused the Mebane firefighter to have a “serious medical emergency”, the warrant states.

According to the warrant, the firefighter was taken to the hospital by EMS.
