The Brusly Police Department responded around 5:30 a.m. to a report of shots fired at the corner of St. John Street and Bourgeois Street.
Brusly PD confirmed that two rounds were fired, and the investigation led to Barbara Hammond, 24, being arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder and possession of a stolen firearm.
The latter charge came after police confirmed that the gun used in the shooting was stolen from East Baton Rouge Parish.
There were no reported injuries in connection with this incident.
Hammond was booked into the West Baton Rouge Parish Jail.
