RALEIGH, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — North Carolina, joined by 24 other states, is suing the U.S. Department of Education over its sudden freeze of $165 million in federal education funds, a move officials say could devastate school programs and staff just weeks before the new school year.
