“Kimynee sadly succumbed to her injuries today,” Veronica Robinson said to Action News at 10 on PHL17. “Our family is devastated by this loss.”
Robinson is one of many family members asking the public for help in finding the driver responsible.
On Sunday around 2:45 a.m., police said White got out of the car she was a passenger in after a multi-vehicle crash on Roosevelt Boulevard and Ridge Avenue in the East Falls section of Philadelphia. Her family said she went to check the damage to the vehicle along with her friend, who was driving. Investigators say another car on the road hit White so hard that she flew 20 feet from the original scene. Police said the driver of the striking vehicle did not stop.
“This doesn’t make sense,” Robinson said. “People just hit and leave people on the ground is ridiculous.”
Investigators are still working to find the driver and the car involved.
White’s family is pleading for anyone with information to come forward.
