Colma Target theft suspect runs onto freeway, disrupts traffic on 280

(KRON) — The suspect in a petty theft at a Target location in Colma led police on a foot chase into I-280 in Daly City on Monday afternoon. A ramp on the northbound lanes of I-280 in Daly City was temporarily closed, according to the California Highway Patrol. Traffic on I-280 was backed up around the connector to southbound Highway 1.

According to the Colma Police Department, the suspect swung a stick at an officer and missed before fleeing on foot. The suspect led police on a long foot chase through the cemetery and the business district before losing police on I-280.

As of this time, the suspect remains at large, according to Colma PD.
