According to the Central Bucks Regional Police Department, police were dispatched to South Main and State Streets Saturday night after they received an abandoned 911 call and a well-being check for a female at the same location.
In a Facebook post from a profile appearing to belong to McNamara, McNamara stated that she was in an abusive relationship and her boyfriend “went for her,” and that she had “to hold him off with a cleaver.” Other posts and comments on that profile prompted a welfare check from police, which led to police locating 50-year-old Robin McNamara outside the building with blood-soaked clothes.
McNamara told police that the blood was from the victim and that she believed she broke his nose.
When police entered the apartment, they found the victim covered in blood with a deep laceration on the back of the head down to his skull. He also had several other lacerations on his shoulders and forearm, with bruising on his back.
The victim had told police that McNamara had attacked him with a cleaver-type knife, which was found on the scene.
The victim was transported to a nearby trauma center for medical care.
According to Pennsylvania court records, McNamara is facing charges of Simple Assault, Aggravated Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Harassment, Criminal Attempt, and Possession of an Instrument of Crime.
