The Catch seafood restaurants in Longview and Tyler and the Roost restaurants in Longview and Lufkin are owned by Greenbriar Partners, a Texas-based company that wanted to step up after fatal flooding swept through Central Texas on July 4.

“As a proud Texas-based company, rooted in East Texas, we strongly believe in giving back in any way we can. The tragic flooding in the Texas Hill Country and the massive devastation brought upon the area, the camps and the residents, especially those with young children, hit us all very hard,” Greenbriar Partners CEO Conner Cupit said. “There was absolutely no question in our minds that we had to do something, and this seemed to be the best way to allow everyone, our team members, stakeholders and valued guests, to actively participate in helping those affected by this tragic situation in our home state. We are beyond proud to provide the conduit to allowing them to all play a part.”

KETK spoke with the general manager of The Catch restaurant in Tyler on Sunday about how he was emotionally effected by the flooding.

“I couldn’t help but feel the pain that those parents are feeling,” The Catch general manager Efrian Chavez. “Thinking that my daughters are going to be safe and sound when I’m dropping them off and knowing in my heart that I want to see them again and that not happening. It just hurt me.”

The restaurants told KETK that they’ll be looking for more opportunities to donate their profits on days in the future. Visit KETK’s list of resources gathering donations for Central Texas for more ways to help the flood survivors.
