FPD officers stopped the car on East Tabor Avenue near Olive Avenue around 2 a.m. While speaking with the 19-year-old driver, officers determined that the man was wanted for grand theft in connection to items stolen from a Fairfield Target on July 8.
“After removing the man and the other four people from the vehicle, officers located a fully loaded gun under one of the passenger seats,” FPD said. “That passenger, a 16-year-old male, was arrested for possession of the firearm.”
Further investigation revealed that the 16-year-old was also an accomplice in the Target theft, FPD said. Both suspects were taken into custody and face criminal charges.
