Rescues made in St. Tammany Parish cabin boat fire
ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Passengers on a cabin boat on Lake Pontchartrain were rescued from a fire on Sunday, July 13.
In a post to Facebook, St. Tammany Fire Protection District #1 firefighters reported responding to the 45-foot cabin boat fire near Eden Isles.
They said that all individuals were rescued by nearby boaters.
Both the Station 16 crew and St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were able to put out the flames using portable pumps on a sheriff’s office boat.
No injuries were reported.
