BELVIDERE, New Jersey – A Mahanoy City woman was killed in a crash in western New Jersey over the weekend, state troopers there report.
Jacqueline Bernette Breeland, 54, of Mahanoy City, was killed in a fiery crash on Route 519 in White Township, northeast of Belivdere, around 11:30pm Friday night.
Troopers said she was headed south on that highway in an SUV when the vehicle hit a large rock, rolled, and caught fire.
Breeland was killed in the crash, troopers said.
A passenger, who was not identified, was also injured.
