LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — Louisville’s FOX affiliate, WDRB, reported on Sunday that officials with the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) said there were no victims found or shots fired after a report of an active aggressor at the Kentucky Expo Center Sunday afternoon.

The department posted on social media just after 3:30 p.m. on July 13 that there was a report of an “active aggressor” at Kentucky Kingdom and the Fairgrounds.

Officers said no victims have been found at that location or the Expo Center, nor had shots been fired at either place.

The facility remains closed at this time,” David Beck, president and CEO of Kentucky Venues, said in a news release. “We are grateful for the swift and coordinated response from the Louisville Metro Police Department, our on-site security personnel, and public safety officials across the city. Their immediate action to search and secure the building ensured the safety of everyone on our campus.”

WDRB has reported that no charges have been filed so far, even though the LMPD reported that some people were injured while fleeing the expo center.

Law enforcement officials said the Homeland Security Unit is investigating to determine what caused the incident.
