CHICAGO — A motorcyclist and his passenger were injured in a hit-and-run crash on Chicago’s South Side Sunday evening, authorities said.

The collision occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 7100 block of South Michigan Avenue, when a blue Chevrolet pickup truck struck a motorcycle and then fled the scene, CPD said.

The motorcycle’s driver, a man whose age was not disclosed, suffered a skull fracture and was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.

A 19-year-old woman who was riding the motorcycle as a passenger sustained a fractured right arm and was hospitalized in good condition.

No arrests have been made. Area One detectives are investigating.
