To commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States, American Heritage Chocolate is partnering with America250 to reflect on the rich history of the delicacy. At the birth of the nation, cocoa was enjoyed most as a warm morning beverage in the colonies. Chocolate historian, David Borghesani, explains that the chocolate was made by hand and ground with different spices to add flavor. Philadelphia own’s Ben Franklin would sell Chocolate from his printshop.
