Wynnton Methodist Church partnered with Wynnton Neighborhood Housing to renovate and repair homes around the Midtown Columbus area. Roughly 200 students from 17 churches across the state of Georgia gathered to complete home projects for people who are physically or financially unable to repair their homes.
“We hope this will ignite a passion in these youth to serve others back home in their communities,” said Pastor Jason Wade. “We are excited about the huge impact this mission will have in our own community this year.”
Volunteers from around the state completed painting, exterior landscaping and numerous other minor home improvements. The Wynnton collaboration worked on 30 different homes in Midtown Columbus.
Officials say this project is not to simply renovate homes and be on their way, but to create a personal relationship with the homeowners. For more information, please visit their website or reach out to Wynnton Methodist Church at 706-324-2424.
