Baton Rouge man charged in connection with 2024 shooting death
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A man was arrested in connection with a deadly shooting that took place days before Christmas last year.
Otis Douglas, 23, of Baton Rouge, was charged with second-degree murder.
The shooting took the life of Derrick Lee, 48. It happened just before 7 p.m. on Dec. 21, 2024, in the 1100 block of North 36th Street. At the time, Lee was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Douglas was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Friday, July 11.
