13-year-old identified in Concord assault

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Kannapolis Police have identified a 13-year-old juvenile from Concord who was involved in an incident Friday.

Officials say the juvenile assaulted a person on West Avenue and fled the scene prior to officers arriving.

The person who was assaulted refused medical attention at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and once concluded, will be referred to the Department of Juvenile Justice in regards to any criminal charges against the juvenile.
