Officer (Jeff) Baker Named Indiana School Resource Officer of the Year for
Region 9

Ellettsville, IN — Seven Oaks Classical School is proud to announce that Officer (Jeff) Baker, our
(outstanding School Resource Officer (SRO), has been honored as the Indiana School
Resource Officer of the Year for Region 9 by the Indiana School Resource Officer
Association (INSROA). Region 9 consists of 7 counties: Brown, Monroe, Bartholomew, Jackson,
Johnson, Lawrence, Morgan.
This prestigious award recognizes Officer Baker’s exceptional dedication to the safety,
well-being, and daily lives of our students and staff. More than just a protector, Officer Baker is a
familiar and trusted presence on campus—building relationships, supporting students, and
contributing to a strong, positive school culture.
“Officer Baker can appear imposing until you actually meet him. You realize he has a big heart
and loves children, and you can see it in the way students respond to him,” said Dr. Stephen
Shipp, Headmaster at Seven Oaks Classical School. “He is deeply respected by students, staff,
and families alike, and this recognition is a well-deserved acknowledgement of his impact on our
school community.”

means to serve a school community with dedication, compassion, and integrity. His work
