Chief Daniel Graziose is now partnered with K-9 Koda, while Sgt. Cole Rutherford is teamed with K-9 Helix. Both dogs are certified through the National Narcotic Detector Dog Association (NNDDA), recognized as one of the nation’s leading certification bodies for law enforcement K-9 teams.
“These K-9 teams bring a high level of capability to our department and provide a valuable resource for the community,” said Chief Graziose. “Koda and Helix have already demonstrated strong detection skills, and we’re proud to have them serving the citizens of Anson.”
According to the department, the addition of these units will enhance the agency’s ability to conduct proactive narcotics enforcement and respond to drug-related calls with greater efficiency. The K-9s will serve within city limits and be available for mutual aid throughout Jones County.
Community members can expect to see the K-9s on patrol and participating in public events. The department also welcomes opportunities to educate the public about the important role of working dogs in modern law enforcement.
